This is a great concert, and to have it decoded with Phoenix is a wonderful upgrade. Like many remixed concerts it’s not the bees knees as a quad mix, but it is better than many and there are some discrete moments eg. there is some piano rear right that Phoenix isolates there with very little bleed in the fronts. The crowd is mainly in the fronts which is a strange choice, but the mix is what it is. I also think Phoenix has made the vocals easier to hear, this is the first time I’ve noticed the spoken section about the Pennines before one song, and I’m from that area.

    Heh-heh… OD – Yer Killin’ Me !!

Be-Bop Deluxe received repeated spins on TT & cassette back in the day round these parts. I love these guys – never forget hearing “Ships In The Night” as my introduction to the band – hooked in half a song !

DS349f has been the most frequent target of the small group of releases I’m able to keep continuously available – with a current share ratio of 56.893. Seems like there are more than a few BBD fans in the Quad Crowd.

Whilst I truly look forward to a “new and improved” version of the show… it is cruel-and-unusual punishment to wave such Candy at this Baby – you see, it’s 25 months and counting that my surround gear remains stone cold silent. (insert very, very, very Sad Face here)

It’s a great show, from a great band, from a great age in popular music… just can’t wait to hear it !!

This is a good show. I have it in quad and enjoyed it. The mix isn’t all that special, but love Bill Nelson’s work.
