    I agree it’s a very strange album, lurching frequently between prog rock and punk. I didn’t think it was that great and I won’t be listening again, but it’s an eye opener to be sure. The quad mix is very good in this Phoenix decode. The opening talking split between front and rear right is very effective.

    A very odd album! Musically it’s great – elements of Egg and Crazy World of Arthur Brown, but vocally… some very prog moments, some Gabrielesque moments, but other times it feels like it was 6 or 7 years before it’s time – late Punk / early No-Wave type vocals. Definitely an acquired taste, but I think one that grows as it goes.

    Fantastic separation in the mix though. Glad I went for the Phoenix reissue – has the SQ Final one from a while back already, but never made it all the way through the album!

      I agre, i also had issues with the album before but now play it regularly, odd what difference a decode makes
