7 May

If there’s any theater organ fanatics out there in the UK, there are three hard to get (at least over here) Doric quad albums up on E-Bay:

What matrix system would that be on OD?

      They are QS encoded

As can be seen by zooming in on the cover pictures in ebay, they clearly say QS.

Well here’s a fourth to join the group. And it seems that these LP’s were distributed here in the UK, wonder why there aren’t more of them… or perhaps there are..

Really not my thing, and anyway in the UK it’s usually the Mighty Wurlitzer when people talk about cinema organs.

But do please post rarities like this for sale, one day it might be something I like the look of.

We have a magnificent restored late 1920s theater near me with a Wurlitzer. They host a lot of events and have frequent vintage film showings, the movies always have an organ performance before the show.Lots of fun.The thing even has drums and a train whistle! Every Halloween they show the silent Phantom of the Opera and accompany it on the organ, just as they did back in the day. Google alabama theatre and check out this grand movie(and concert)palace.
Agreed it’s not something I’d play for hours on end,but well done Quad would be a fun novelty.
