Thanks for this. Malice in Wonderland with Paice Ashton Lord is an old favourite that I put on the turntable every now and then. I’ll have to play this one a few more times to see if it is equally good, but the first listening was promising.

This is excellent, though I’m having trouble classifying it musically (helps others decide if they want to download it). Big band isn’t quite it, maybe a cross between that, rock and jazz. Not one for John Lord fans, none of this reminds me of him at all even though he’s in it. Some great jazz style brass playing, especially trumpet and trombone in the last track. Excellent drumming as you’d expect from the people involved.

The quad mix is OK but nothing to write home about, as is common for live performances it’s largely ambience to give an impression of being there (probably the right thing to do with live stuff).

This is awesome and features my all-time favorite drummer Carmine Appice!!

There’s actually two drummers playing on this, Carmine Appice and Ian Paice, they appear to play well together.

Yep. Ian Paice is in my top 5 as well. šŸ™‚
