Finally got this yesterday and I am very pleased with this quad release. Haven’t heard Desiree yet, but this on which has always had a special place in my heart, really shines in quad. Instrument spread is well balanced. Dylan’s voice seems to have more reverb than the original stereo mix, but it doesn’t hurt the overall mix. A real gem.

What a grower this little album is! And this version is so pleasing to my ears. Maybe a little extra echo compared to the stereo original – but it worked for me. The music retains its delicate presence, the voice is lovely and clear, and the 30 minutes just rolls by very happily.

Another post that didn’t email me. Looks like changing the date on the existing posting doesn’t do that.

Odd it used too, but then they are continually mucking with things, and it never makes it better. The problem of creating a new posting means loosing all the comments and additional data for that posting. I’ll think about it.

Keeping the old comments is more important. Sometimes I refer to my own old comments when reviewing a re-release.

I am getting notifications of extra comments on these old releases though. So you could fix the issue by changing the date as you do now for the re-release, and then add a comment saying “Re-release” or something equally banal just to get the email notifications to go out.

Unfortunately there are few tools to do anything with when posting, it has to be them mucking things up again.

I don’t normally like Dylan singing, it’s just tuneless wailing usually. But he manages to be OK here, helped by the brevity of the album. Good LP transfer and quad decode as others have said, and Lay Lady Lay is a classic track.

As with my previous comments above, I like this Phoenix decode. I haven’t compared it to the previous decode but this once is very clear with no clutter or muddle that I could hear.

Thanks, this one sounds really great. Nice sounding source and the conversion is really nice and discrete.

What a crystal clear transfer from LP and SQ decode without equal. This is one of those desert island must have titles. Thank you so very much for the posting & freebie status. As always something here for everybody’s cup of tea.

Fantastic – I’ve been waiting for this one. I would happily have made a donation for it, so I will.
