I like this, the music is good and the drumming is excellent. A nice live feel to this recording. I can’t decide what’s meant to be in the rears, sometimes it sounds like room ambience and at other times it sounds like instruments were deliberately mixed there. Maybe it really is a combination of both.

Sound quality is excellent, whatever the source is it’s good. The Phoenix decode sounds clean as ever, nothing sounds out of place.

    Some info on the venue:
B.Ginnings was a nightclub in Schaumburg, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, that opened in 1974. The principal owner was Danny Seraphine, the drummer for the band Chicago, who named the club after Chicago’s hit song “Beginnings”. And speaking of Chicago did you forget about Chicago VII & VIII?

I haven’t forgotten, it’s just that i thought a break was needed as there’s so much other material to do. But before they are done there will be something nice put out.

Does anyone know if this contains anything different than what’s on the release called “Squared”? Thanks!

A mystery source I see, neither LP nor CD.
