This didn’t do much for me. Sound quality is good and the QS/Sphinx decode is clear and spacious as usual. But the music left me feeling not much, just a bit of easy listening general pop/rock which I couldn’t find much of interest in.

The storm in a teacup about the banned artwork was more interesting than the music. I find it hard to believe anyone required it censoring, even in the 1970s. I’ve seen far more disturbing stuff on album covers from the period.

I concur with quadsome. The ABC Command Quadraphonic catalog is a favorite of mine and worthy of your service. Comprising (23) titles not including the Koss KQD-75 ‘Perspectives’ demo album. A large portion of this catalog is already available here on your blog. Hopefully the remainder are possible candidates for your magic touch. Thanks for all you do here.

Thanks for doing this important addition to the Command Quadraphonic releases…and what a grand addition it is! Perfectly balanced front/rear volume and I would suggest (thanks to Sphinx) the most discrete sounding of the QS releases done so far. Very well done and a great early Christmas gift!

Thanks for the comments about the separation. The improvements in the ‘mythological’ series of process’s really have made more of an impact than i first thought they would.

Thanks for this! I’ve always wondered why They’ve gotten such shabby treatment as far as reissues. They were pretty huge in their time, yet no box sets,LPs or any other special treatment. I do remember an early CD of one of their albums had artwork that was simply a scan of a VERY worn album cover. Ridiculous. I saw them on the “Seven Separate Fools” tour in Birmingham(AL) at Legion Field. They were the headliners in a multi-act show that included The Raspberries,Buddy Miles,Billy Preston(Outta Space was big just then) and a few others.First time I ever saw video screens at a concert-black and white no less! Great Show.
