Laura Yager – Comin’ Apart

Laura Yager - Comin' Apart DS437f front

I am surprised that such a talented artist like Luara Yager has none of her material available to buy on a modern format. Whoever owms the rights to the Ovation label really needs to get their act together and make the wealth of material available again.

I really like this album and feel there are a couple of unrecognized classics on it, one being the title track.

Release: DS437f

Source: QS LP

Process: QS/IIa

Very pleasant. Great female vocals, and lovely simple arrangements. The quad mix is simple but effective. A nice uplifting album.

Catching up on a backlog of music this evening. I’d never heard or heard of Laura before, so this was yet another pleasant surprise. “Chesapeake Bay” peaked my interest. I’ve lived my entire life near the Chesapeake Bay, currently living on the North Shore. I feel her sentiment. Very nice decode.

Thanks for the link. It seems as though they only do mp3 downloads and none of the tracks are available anyway. MP3 is no good for decoding by the way, it must be a lossless source.

You know I really enjoy the Ovation catalog of artist and this one is no exception. Thank you for putting this one out OD. The 3rd track ‘Early Morning Hush’ shows up on Ovation sampler albums and should have been a single release. To my ear ‘Love Song’ is the standout on this LP. It does seem a shame and a missed opportunity to keep these from public release. Whoever is sitting on these Ovation titles wake up.
