Great sound quality. Lots of stuff happening in all 4 corners. In general, it all sounds very discrete, but a few times it’s difficult to place certain instruments – they bleed from FR to SR or FL to SL. However, at other times all 4 speakers have sounds clearly locked in place, so the decode can obviously produce (near) discrete results. I therefore suspect that it’s the mix that accounts for the occasional blurriness. I noticed it on piano and horns, so they were probably recorded in stereo and spread from front to back anyway, but not very successfully. I’m only mentioning this in an attempt to give detailed feedback on decoding quality. Basically, this is great sound quality, great mix, great decode. Thanks yet again! (Also, yet another title that I would never have listened to except for it being in quad.)

I agree with other comments, this is a great record and a great quad mix. The QS/IIa decode is fantastic, separation is amazing without seeming artifical or forced. A great job all round, both from the original mixers on the record and OD for the decode.

Folks, you need look no further than THIS release to fully appreciate the QS decode work of OD! Absolutely amazing to hear thIS level of 4 channel discrete sound from a QS album. The music on this album would be awesome in MONO…now to hear it this way, all we can say is THANK YOU!

I agree 100%. This one is fantastic. Amazing separation.

Thanks for all the remarks regarding the separation. Of course the decode can only be as good as the mix, and for once (for a QS title) someone actually produced quality mix. Shame there isn’t more like this.

Brings back memories. I can’t decide which is better, QS or SQ. Neither sounded this good back in the day. An excellent decode and also an excellent mix. I’ll wear this one out with much gratitude.
