Really enjoyed this! I had heard of Bonnie but this was my first time listening to her music. I describe her voice as less Joni Mitchell than more of a Baez/Collins synthesis. All good, imo. Give us more quad Bonnie Koloc, says I!

Another great EV-4/II decode, very nice use of the surround. And what a great vocalist, lovely voice she has. The album is mostly folk/pop in style, but the last track is rather more rock and it completes the album nicely

Thanks for this – any plans to do other Bonnie Koloc quad?

Thank you for the excellent decode of this great sounding LP. Really nice imaging, wide dynamic range and a nice bottom end.

Have compared the decoded output of this LP as well as other Ovation EV-4 releases using an Electro-Voice EVX-44, Sansui QS-500 and Sansui QSD-1. Only the later decoder reveals any sense of discreteness. The other two just a muddy echo with reverb. OD your EV-4/II process sweetens this or takes it on to the next level, however you care to say it. One must realize that the original EV-4 encoding was never intended to reveal true discrete output. These DS releases using the EV-4/II process are in my favorites list without question. Real gems. Thanks OD for this release.

It’s more to it maybe than just being quad here. It’s the artist. The Captain enjoys these organic hippy dippy with the spider plants hanging about and patchouli sounding records. If any of you like this one by Bonnie Kolac than you should search out some of her other titles. She has four other quad releases and also a quad 45 on Ovation. It might be noted her career continued on into the stereo world too.
