This teeters between being good and over-doing it for me. Some parts are a great listen, others they’ve jumped the shark and forgotten where the tune started in my opinion. Considering this is recorded live I wish more of the crowd noise had been mixed in, apart from the start and end of each track it’s easy to forget this is live. This does show great musicianship however to be able to forget something is live. There is some good use of quad but in my view it would have been better used producing the hall acoustic and the crowd noise, as it is they’ve mixed it more like a quad studio album which probably contributes to it not sounding live much.

Full and rich with great sonics throughout – this decode stabilises the sound field really well. I have a previous decode by another author which I’ve really enjoyed in the short time I’ve had it but the difference here is in the stability. Pretty much total separation is achieved with the result that the sound gets deeper and wider. The pace of the album allows you to focus on the instrument placement early on and by getting your bearings in this way you don’t get lost in the more intense sections that most surely follow.

Wonderfully wiggy and gleefully self-indulgent, monster riffs from all instruments abound and surround. The plot is never completely lost either, this sounds like a well worn framework from which they wring out sinuous bass and frenetic melody lines. Fuzz guitars growl against spiny violin glissandos whilst thunderous drums enjoy magnificent mayhem all round. The keyboards defy written expression.

Perfect late night listening when in just the right state of relaxation or turn your next dinner party into a Filmore style love in. Either way, let your freak flag fly.

I have your previous Bird Of Fire decode, I wonder if we’ll be hearing that again any time soon?

wow! the quad separation on this is amazing. Goodman in left rear, Hammer in right rear. really really cool.

Thank you. The title should be Eternity instead of Infinity.
