Thought I’d make a comment, even though this isn’t a recent release. At 25 minutes it’s not long, but it manages to present considerable variety in that time. Not everything is memorable, perhaps, but it’s a festive and pleasant blend. The last three selections are my favorites, all for different reasons. The Holly and the Ivy, besides the organ, is performed by a choir, doing a great job of the old carol. I Wonder as I Wander features the Percy Faith Orchestra, and I am a great admirer of the sound produced by those strings! Instantly recognizable. Lastly, Richard Kiley performs my favorite Christmas Song, Panis Angelicus. While there are better performances, this is a former Broadway star I have very few recordings of.

While I didn’t notice anything remarkable about the quadraphonics, it certainly is great to have these four-channel rarities!

Simply it's accurate. Anything pre- * is replaced, and the latest (and i suspect last) versions using SQ*Final/I. is the best version by far… Too complex to explain in a short post

    Hi OD
Can you please describe the difference(s) between 2011's DS124 release and 2012's DS124f… is there any advantage to this particular collection of songs from using the SQ*Final/I process ?

(…better to save this month's bandwidth limit for something “new”, unless there's a “day and night” change)

In any event, thank you for all the Christmas music choices… very enjoyable to have a wide choice of quad selections dedicated to The Season.

    Nice album!
I'm always pleasantly surprised that SQ vinyl can hold up so well over such a long time — 40 years!
Thank you and Merry Christmas, everyone!

Looking forward to hearing this one.

Did I dream it or did you put up a quad of Britten's 'Ceremony of Carols' last year? I've been listening to that again and it's superb. I looked to find it to put a comment but couldn't see it.

THX! I can't find words, just hope that this is not the last Christmas yet…
