S.Arima & Misty Sounds – Dock Of The Bay

27 May

This album is very much of it’s time, being of the Hammond/Moog/Backing Band style. After a search through the Internet, this particular album popped up in many peoples lists, and all played it in stereo. So, for those who enjoy a taste of nostalgia (and I’ll admit, i enjoyed listening to it), here it is in all of it’s Quadraphonic glory……

Absolute Elsewhere – In Search Of Ancient Gods

25 May
Never heard of it? Well, it’s a one-off album that mixed early electronic music with jazz tinged rock, and although released under a group name, it was in fact a solo album by Paul Fishman, who utilised the talents of Bill Bruford, Philip Saatchi, Jon Astrop & Kim Mackrell to bring it all together. Definitely worth a listen
Something of a rarity in that it’s one of the few UK produced CD-4 albums
