If anyone wants to compare this SQ*Final Tubular Bells against the discrete quad SACD but doesn’t have the disc, pop over to the SACD to DVD-A site in the Surround Links where you can now find a DVD-A conversion of the quad SACD. It’s exactly the same mix as this decode which permits a true comparison of the decode against a discrete copy. There is also an AVCHD copy for those with Blu Ray players that won’t play DVD-A.

I downloaded a wav. CD version of this somewhere a couple of years ago. It wasn't bad but had the limitations that come with the liited storage medium. I look forward to this. Thanks OD

Many people do not know the whole album Tubular Bells, just for starters that is used in the movie The Exorcist. The whole album is excellent.

I'll admit i've not compared them. I guess i should have done, it's just i have so little time to listen to music to relax to, by the time i've done a conversion it's the last thing i want to listen too lol

If you know OD, I was wondering how this compares to the Quad SACD that's out of print? It was released about 10 years ago. I'm looking forward to your 360 script of Exposed, as well as his other two masterpieces. I picked up his recent versions that he remixed, but unfortunately their Dolby 5.1 endoded and not lossless. Thanks for doing these, progressive rock is one of my favs!

Hergest Ridge,Ommadawn and Collaborations to follow in the next few days as well as a re-release of Exposed (DS1)
